Art Camp

Art Camps: Close contacts with the dwellers in their environments and circumstances are very important for developing the perceptions and creating the artistic expressions, so Santaran organizes regular Art or Artists’ Camps on the selected subjects. Environmental Art Camps are important among those for focusing on the rights of minor indigenous groups and for creating public awareness regarding development of the environments, Santaran organizes most of those camps in Alikadam of Bandarbans district. Artists from the different parts of Bangladesh join the camps to develop their perceptions about the high mountains of Alikadam, river Matamuhuri and people of eleven indigenous groups including Murong who live in that environment with different cultures and philosophies. As artists get chance to come closer to the nature and human beings through those camps, local administration and common people also can have a deeper perception about the development of living standards through the outcomes or creative expressions of those camps. And Santaran considers it as a great achievement. Santaran Art Organization Already Organized ten artist camp.
